Pet & People Tickets Now Available for 2nd Annual Planet Dog Ball

2018 Planet Dog Ball

Tickets are now available for dogs and dog owners alike to enjoy a glittering evening of food, fashion, fur and fancies at the second annual Planet Dog Ball on Saturday, April 7, 2018, all to benefit the Hoyt Therapy Dog Program at Maine Medical Center and The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.

With almost 30 trained therapy dogs and handlers, the Hoyt Therapy Dog Program brings the calm and joy of connecting with a loving animal to patients, staff, and families at MMC and BBCH. Although the handlers are trained volunteers who donate their time to promoting the well-being of patients and their families, there is still a cost to operate and maintain the program.

Ticket sales, auction items, sponsorship proceeds and donations from the event will help The Planet Dog Foundation raise sufficient funds to cover the cost of the Hoyt Therapy Dog Program for at least two years, thus ensuring that patients and families will continue to receive these much-beloved visits.

As it would not be a Planet Dog event without dogs, well-behaved four-legged friends are welcome to attend and enjoy the doggy treat bar; separate tickets for dogs are required (subject to availability).
