The Elaine Hill “Love A Nurse” 5K will be held Saturday, May 5th to Kick of Nurses Week

The “Elaine Hill Love a Nurse” 5K  provides two $2500 scholarships to local students pursuing a career in nursing. One award goes to a graduating senior in Washington or Hancock County. The other goes to a non-traditional student (defined as a student over 25 years old) pursuing an undergraduate nursing education. Since 2009, the Women’s Health Resource Library has raised over $40,000 in scholarship money.  Local businesses provide sponsorship dollars, that along with registration fees, provide the award monies.
